Notice of the introduction of accommodation tax (from April​ ​1, 2026)

Thank you for your continued patronage of Hotel Sonia Otaru.
Effective April 1, 2026 (Wed), a lodging tax will be implemented in Hokkaido and Otaru City for stays starting that date.
The accommodation prices listed on the website do not include the "accommodation tax."
Please pay at the front desk upon check-in.

● Accommodation tax (per person per night)
Accommodation fee less than 20,000 yen: 300 yen (Hokkaido 100 yen / Otaru city 200 yen)
20,000 yen or more to less than 50,000 yen: 400 yen (Hokkaido 200 yen / Otaru City 200 yen)
Over 50,000 yen: 700 yen (Hokkaido 500 yen / Otaru City 200 yen)

*The accommodation fee is the "room only rate" which includes service charges and excludes Food costs and consumption tax.
