Notice of the introduction of accommodation tax (from April​ ​1, 2026)

Thank you very much for your continued patronage of Hotel Sonia Otaru.
We would like to inform you that an accommodation tax will be introduced in Hokkaido and Otaru City from April 1st, 2026 (Wed).
The accommodation rates listed on the website do not include accommodation tax.
Please pay at the front desk when you check in.

● Accommodation tax (per person per night)
Accommodation fee less than 20,000 yen: 300 yen (Hokkaido 100 yen / Otaru city 200 yen)
20,000 yen or more to less than 50,000 yen: 400 yen (Hokkaido 200 yen / Otaru City 200 yen)
Over 50,000 yen: 700 yen (Hokkaido 500 yen / Otaru City 200 yen)

*The accommodation fee is the "room only rate" which includes service charges and excludes Food costs and consumption tax.

*Accommodation tax will be imposed on reservations made on or before April 1, 2026, for stays on or after April 1, 2026.
